Castle Rock was established in 1874 when Jeremiah Gould donated 120 acres just south of “The Rock.” Settlers were originally drawn to the area by rumors of gold and available land. Today Castle Rock boasts a population of over 75,000 people and has grown its footprint to 21,950 acres. Kids living in Castle Rock attend Douglas County Schools, an award winning school district.
